What is a slot?
- A slot is a time window in which a container is handled at the terminal.
- Your container will not be dispatched without a booked slot.
When do I have to be at the terminal?
- A slot always lasts 1 hour,
The terminals extend this by half an hour before the start of the slot and half an hour after the end of the slot - Example: Booked slot is 1 pm
- Slot duration 13-14 h
- Entry possible from 12.30 pm until 2.30 pm at the latest
Book a slot - that's important:
- Only book if you can really carry out the transport in the desired time.
- Take a look at the utilisation of the terminal beforehand: https://slot.truckgate.de
- Also pay attention to special check-in areas (options: areas)
- No check-in is carried out outside the booked time.
- You can add further containers to an existing tour if there is still space available in the area and time slot.
- Special cases and exceptions are regulated by the terminals via the manual preliminary check (MVP): https://www.truckgate.de/en/terminal-info ⇒ Terminal websites
Slot punctuality and no-show
What is a "no-show"?
A no-show is:
- a booked slot that is not used.
- a slot that is rebooked too late.
What happens with many no-shows?
If your no-show rate is currently 35% or more, your booking options will be restricted for the next week.
- rush hour (06:00 - 17:59):
You may only book as many slots as your average number of slots used in the last 6 weeks plus 10 % (at least 5). - Off-peak time (18:00 - 05:59):
You can continue to make unlimited bookings here - but only as long as no misuse is detected.
Where can I see my no-show rate?
- Go to: https://slot.truckgate.de ⇒ Log in
- Log in with your access data.
- You received this when your participant code was set up.
(This only applies to haulage companies and not to TruckGATE-app users!)
